This is based on my mother in law's experience with them---- DO NOT USE THEM TO INSTALL CARPET. They are overpriced and the people they get to install it are horrible!! My mother in law had ordered her carpet and linoleum through Lowes. They came out did the measurements and said she would need some wood in the kitchen for them to replace what was underneath. So she said do whatever we need to do. She waits several weeks. They come out to deliver everything so the install guys could do it the next day. They place everything inside except the wood. They place it on the covered porch. The install guys come and well that wood wasn't suppose to be outside. The temp or something to that sorts could damage it wouldn't work. So they come back the next day with the new wood and start rolling the linoleum and carpet out. They are not the colors my mother in law had ordered. She said I am tired of dealing with this and I don't need to take more time off work just for you guys not to do your job. They lay everything down. They end up not even needing the wood that delayed everything. Then on top of that the threshold that separates the living room and kitchen has about an inch hump. She never had an issue with that threshold til they came. Maybe they should have used the wood in the living room and built it to the same height as the kitchen. The carpet guys said they just do what they are told to do. They were not instructed to use the wood in the living room. She called and complained to lowes. They say they will have someone come out and fix it. The guy returns a couple days later with a bigger threshold cover and she says that is not going to do. There is still an issue of tripping when passing the threshold. He informed her that it was all he could do. She informed lowes she was not happy with their services. They didn't seem to care too much because the threshold is still not fixed. An issue that is a hazard to her and anyone else that comes to visit. I would never recommend dealing with them in flooring. If you are in Cullman go to West Point and check out that guy's carpet store. He came and laid carpet in her bedroom and was there within a week and in and out. Oh and he has better prices too!
